Ellen R. Wilson, AuD, CCC-A, F-AAA

Dr. Wilson received her undergraduate (B.A. 1986) and graduate (M.S., 1988) training in audiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill . She received her doctorate in audiology (Au.D., 2005) from Central Michigan University/Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Research Center. Dr. Wilson has practiced audiology at this office, Central Carolina Ear, Nose, and Throat, for 23+ years. Prior to coming to Central Carolina ENT, she interned at the former NC Memorial Hospital (now UNC Hospitals - Chapel Hill) and the Durham Veterans Administration Medical Center.

Dr. Wilson is licensed by the NC Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists and by the NC State Hearing Aid Dealers and Fitters Board, certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She also is a member of several additional professional associations. Her concentrated interests are in the areas of vestibular function testing, electrophysiology, comprehensive audiological/ diagnostic assessment, hearing rehabilitation including hearing aid evaluation, fitting/dispensing, followup care, and counseling.

Dr. Wilson has three children, Cameron, Garrett and Caroline. In her spare time, Dr. Wilson enjoys playing the piano, attending her children’s sports and extracurricular activities, and going back to UNC-Chapel Hill for football games, concerts, and continuing education events. She is an active theater enthusiast.
